we left for the borders yesterday a short notice session after collecting some live crab and fresh rag arrived around 2 .30pm surprised not a person fishing thats the best thing about during the week place doesnt get busy usual 2 rods each big rod out for starters then the smaller rod set up for a wrasse dropped the bait in within seconds a cracking wrasse fell to the bait this is probs my best one to date close to 5lb only one that showed on first cast good sport on a bass rod and 15lb line

tryed a few more drops nothing but coalies was hitting the baits a soon as they hit the water stopping out else

concentrated on big rod we was getting size codling and decent coalies

stu was heading off for some pollock spinning when a shouted ya rods rattling slack liner which produce this fine reddy hes best to date also well i wud say 3.5lb-4lb easy

plenty more small pollock and coalies took on the spinners and float but still some sport , there was dark clouds heading from behind us and spitting onto rain so we decided to head off has it became slippy which stu went on hes ass and nearly sent me over the side

i wud like to mention when arriving the place was a mess with line ,empty pkts so whichever anglers fished last from sunderland area i couldnt get down to the ledges to clean up where some of the sunderland echo newspaper pages dated 25th or 26th june 2010 was left to blow about and left lying next time take ya rubbish home with yous
