Fish baits on the rock edges with pulley rigs,,,,,,,,,,Crab and fish baits on the clean beaches with either pulley or running ledger.
Fish the same as you do here really but depending on where you go you have a chance of bass, rays, smoothies etc...
Was there a few year ago and its a cracking place,,,anyway hope this little bit of info helps and good luck.
Cheers

if your fishing the straights you need either low water or a neap, expect to loose a fair bit of lead in the rocky areas and not be able to hold bottom when it runs in any part of it, crabs one the better baits there, if your fishing llandwynn at night your cars at risk opposite side at dinas the beach has changed a lot and unless you walk to the old block houses you wont see much now, penmon can give some good catches, fish off the skeer at low - dont get cut off at the lighthouse end ( very slippy in places) or at night off the shingle beach up the side of the skeer, center of the beach at distance is one hell of a snag area, crab and rag will catch anything fishbaits tend to hammer dogs
if your travelling further afield onto the lleyn then theres some good marks there, , abersoch low water chesties were the river floods out, if they still there fish by the posts to the left of the headland, crab and ideally fresh sandeel, porth cieriad, hells mouth, aberdaron, same tactics but hells mouth produced better for me low water on the left hand side, rock marks on the lleyn, uwchmyndd is good on a calm day, best place i found was too look on google maps, type uwchmyndd and then look for caffi ty newydd, you follow that road untill you get a right curve, below you is a cut, on the map its the smaller one, bit of a walk with gear ( especially back) but i personally have had, wrasse, pollock, bass, bullhuss, whiting, codling, mackerel, pouting, conger, found the left hand side of the cut the better area as you can fish into the cut or on the point, deep water close in, one warning though, only saw it happen once but apparently its not uncommon, surges, we setup on the point, cast out and moved about 20 foot above the calm water, one of the lads shouted and when we looked the water had dropped about 20 foot, then came roaring back, if we had been lower then i have no doubt the gang of us would have been added to the lost at sea statistics, all baits work there but i found, sandeel, crab and rag, in that order to be the best, i have fished there over night, you take the risk if you do, no need to cast to the horizon and you can use a slider float to pull out the pollock as the sun drops, especially good of the front of the rocks into the flow, the bigger bay to the left i never did much good there
if your into black bream then try ceanarfon pier, if you can still fish it, used to get busy, only worth fishing on the top and bottom of the tide because of the tide flow, sandeel best, they tend to be there for just a few weeks from now untill the end of august, nowt big but i caught many takeable ones
hope this gives you a few places to think aboutLast edited by treeboa; 24-06-2010, 07:59 AM.
