  • Druridge 19/5/10

Dusted my fishing gear off and took advantage of the good weather.

Headed to Druridge with 3 frozen mackerel for bait, getting there just on Low water. Found a few nice holes, so set my gear up, one rod about 10 yards out, the other about 40-50.

Nothing on the first cast, then on the second, both rods started to show some activity. Bringing the short one in, out came these little beauties.....

    My First ever Turbot

An undersize flounder came out on the other rod....

Over the next hour or two, it was a bite a cast for both rods, but as mid tide came, the bites eased off so I called it a day. I ended up with 6 turbot and 2 flounders, all undersize, but worth it for the turbot alone.

    Here's a few more pics.....

well done, I've yet to go turbo charged but love walking the mutts on druridge, really nice beach. I'm noticing that everyone seems to be getting the fish on the lower tides - probably where I go wrong as i usually go on the high.
