  • Turbot Delight

my mate stu and i fished druridge bay yesterday for a bit of scratching session from 12 till 5.30pm struggled for bites the first 2 hours of the tide dropping then when the sand bars started to show fish started to play stu got the first flounder out 33cm,s

then a while later he was onto hes 2nd fish another flounder but a bit smaller

he had a nice grin on hes boat race with hes sucess 2-0 up ,thats it i thought change rig tactics soon has it went out bites straight away this fella turned up to pull it back to 2-1

then again on other rod another 2-2

it was tw@ts turn again into another small flounder 3-2

then i also had a smaller flounder god knows where that pic went did he take it or didnt he thats the question 3-3

then a got me madest mad up and pulled in a double shot of turbot 5-3

then last cast before home yes ya guessed another turbot 6-3

stu did manage a turbot on hes last cast a thought it was a leaf lol

a good bit of fun but all in all not a bad day out 5 turbots and a flounder for me 3 flounders and a turbot for stu well im assuming they are turbots undersize but first for me anyways fish took ragworm and bluey tipped baits all fish returned

Rich, fish those Northumberland beaches at the right time and you'll often hit them a few at a time.

Reminder for people the size limit is 35cm if I'm not mistaken.
