Well at a loss for something to do yesterday so headed to Craster.
The way the forecast was I thought I'd be okay on the South pier and as luck had it cos there was no plan B I managed to get on the end and get a bit shelter from the fresh Sly wind which as per the forecast eased and backed as the day went on.
Started fishing about 1330 with 2 rods, squid, blacks a few crabs and razors,
Got one codlin just after HW about 2.5lb and that was it. Packed it in about 2030 Did get one half decent bite but got snagged up with it.
There was a couple of fellas on the N pier and they had one similar sized fish.
There was 3 lads from South Shields turned up briefly one of the lads is a member on here....didn't get his name....Hope they fared better at Amble? I think that's where they were heading
