Fished two up three down about 25 metres from the bend (beach side) into the back of the waves, canny sea running . Caught nothing for the first three hours not even a bite then in the space of about 30 mins caught four small codling at about 1 ½ lb each. Quite a few on the pier but I only saw a few small codling caught round the bend at about the midway point. A very enjoyable session and a lot warmer than it has been of late.
Bait used rag,lug,squid,prawn and razor, all fish were caught on rag and lug cocktail.
Interesting to note all fish were caught on the smaller pennel hook with the main bait hanging outside of the mouth which I think is something that Gforce on this site also mentioned on an earlier thread.
