Lol codman40, that's the way fishing is sometimes mate, one time you will lose loads of tackle another time none.

    Welcome to NESA.

Pulley rigs solved this problem for me.

confucious say, angler who fishes in wrong place loses lots of gear, think you need to try another part of Lynemouth

When conditions are right Lyneburn & Lynemouth beachs are cracking marks.
Try Lyneburn parking up next to the Travelers site between the burn bridge and Boghall Rocks, go straight over to the beach fish anywhere there and to the right up to the Burn. Always found it fishes best after a few Big seas as it is dying off. I always try to fish it half tide down to low tide then 2hrs up, like the lads say use Pulley rigs and rotten bottoms and 6oz grip leads, you wont loss as much gear then. Dont think theres been much caught anywhere at the moment so dont give up.

the beach is changing to the way it used to be years ago, since the coal tipping in the sea has stopped so the beach is changing it wont get any better same as blast beach seaham.
did you know panel pins comes in diff sizes ?

I've fished there loads of times and haven't lost much gear at all. I always use pulleys with RB's on. Works for me.

Sounds like you've been unlucky mate, never lost a rig to a snag on the right of the pipe, but its defintiely rough to the left!! Good mark though mate, don't give in!
