Couldn't decide what to do about going over the NE on Friday. It def fishes better in the dark but LW wasn't until after 2100 so it would have been a really late one so I thought I'd sleep on it.
Anyway woke up early on Friday morning and decided to have a go during the day.
Got to Newbigin for just after 9am and made me way to the end of the golf course and fished just North side of the beacons.
There was a fresh Nly breeze which got up a bit more as the tide flooded. I was throwing out to fairly deep water but after a couple of hours or so it was getting a bit splashy on the rocks and hadn't seen anything so I upped sticks and headed to Blythe pier. Fishing again for 1330.....different day there but not ideal conditions.
Not a lot to report really, one coalie after an hour or so then towards sundown a dab, flounder, couple of very small codlings.
The pier was certainly filling up when I jacked at 1945 (Home for 2200) one or 2 crossed lines. Razor and lug seemed to fish best. I didn't see anything decent caught but not a bad day out.
