  • Decent 3 hours fishing in Sunderland

Went to Sunderland last night to use up some leftover bait and fished for 3 hours. Got a coalie just undersize first cast and thought this could be a decent night. More often than not it's calledc peaking too early. Anyway to cut a long story short I ended up with 4 baby coalies, 2 just undersize, 7 between 1 and 2 lb, 2 flounders and 2 schoolie bass. Although I could have went home with a bag over 10lb every fish was returned safely. I would have put a few photos on here I took but can't find my leads anywhere. It was a new mark for me and I seemed to do a lot better than people fishing nearby even with their fresh crab lol

well done darren mate you'll def have to have a nite up hauxley. like i said be4 there seems to be a better stamp of fish up there at the min. All the fish last nite were over 2lb and it wasnt just the crab that was catching.

Doing well Gregg mate cheers - how's you.

Decided to try a beach as we fished roker pier the night before and got nothing between the 4 of us so decided that's where the fish would be as they had to be somewhere. There was no cod about but who cares when pleasure fishing and it ends up like that? All 7 of the larger coalies were all well over 35 and could have done someone a lot of good in a comp. A couple of lads were fishing the ryhope comp just 50 yards from me but only got one 36cm coalie. Obviously I kept all the lads I fished with the day before up to date. Needless to say got some quite abusive texts back lol
