I was down Seaham prom last night talking to a guy who said he'd been fishing Noses point earlier in the day. All he caught was a couple of Coalies, the sea does look fishy though you would expect there to be more out there.

There were a few fish at the North end of the Hall and the flight at Easington last night.

Biggest from the Hall was only 2lb, but there were a couple of 10lb bags from the flight.

Always better on the flood, Dean. Crab, razor and blacks doing the damage last night. Gonna have a walk along Horden tonight as there are also reports of fish from Bell hole.

Hawthorn Point was and probably still is one of the best venues in the whole of the North East.
You say conditions were perfect perhaps they were BUT this is one of a few places I know that will also produce fish when it's flat as long as you fish in the darkness and on a big Spring Tide.
I've always found the last two hours of the flood and the first hour of the drop to be the best. This will mean fishing well into the early hours at this time of the year.
Also you really do need fresh crab in early October to give yourself the best chance of fish.

i found the flood better too, however i just hit it at the wrong time.

not be long and that mark will vanish. the rock is getting smaller each year
