  • Blizzard at Newbiggin

Hummed and ha'ed about whether to head out tonight to fish the flood and was pleased I did.

Decided on a shot at Newbiggin and it came good, particularly thanks to a generous lad just along from me. There were good fish coming in at both sides, including a couple of about 7.5 but nowt was touching my black, cart and peeler other than one just size which went back. All the fish around me were getting caught on squid and bluey.

Cue lad giving me some bluey which proceeded to do the damage as the snow belted down. 5 fish in 5 casts, biggest a new PB of 8.05lb. Kept 2 others of 3lb and 2.5 lb and put 2 more around 1.5 led back. Will stick a pic up tomorrow when I thaw out.

    Topper night.
