    Evening all as I never seem to have anything to report on for once I got 1 out last nyt so thought rude not to fish weighed in just over the 4lb once gutted didn't take the scales with me fish caught on lug and crab.

            Nice 1. If you want to know the live weight, multiply the gutted weight by 1.17.

              Where is that formula from mate? Never heard of it before but certainly handy to know as I never take scales fishing with me lol

                It's what the MMO and Navy use to determine live weights when doing inspections on fishing boats. Haddock is 1.16 plaice is 1.04 if I remember rightly. There's even formulas for fillets to live weight but I can't seem to find my crib book.

                  Didn't even know such a thing exhisted! Cheers for that mate. Every fish I keep is cleaned at the coast so I never really know he weight of my fish.... Should get a fairly decent estimate now with that formula
