  • Wansbeck at Cambois

    Alreet Lads and Lasses!

Been back home for a week or so and have been itching to wet a line!! Ive really enjoyed reading all your summer catch reports and was thinking about heading out for a few mackerel but with prospect of having to compete with about a million other anglers on the piers, i thought id try a quiet little flatty bashing session!!

Anyway there was no bashing done and my reward for a 2 hour session down the Wansbeck was one postage stamp sized flatty!! Nice day to get out though!

Took a few pics! There was one boat very close in with the nets out i think and only another two anglers on the beach and plenty people walking their dogs!

    Cheers

Nice pictures, pitty about the fish.
Is wansbeck best fished at high or low tide?
I will only be out for a couple of hours pet.

          Cheers Lads!

Fish the wansbeck at hightide! Generally fishing the estuary on the flood and then on a big tide its sometimes worth dropping back down the river and fishing into the 'flatty pool', around we're the boats are moored. but you can fish the whole length of the river upto the wear!
