    Aleet lads,had a try along the pier this morning about nineish just after high tide,canny windy,few people coming the other way armed with a few mackie,thought id give the 44 a try with rag,only one tiny flattie to show.fished the end about 11am using rag a fair few small dabs and a few coalie (all returned) and a canny pollock. only saw 2 mackie taken up til teatime seemed pretty quiet.couple of blokes fishing the end kept every thing they caught, really small codling and flatties cannot understand what good they;d be,really peed me off

    they must have a cat, thats the excuse these so called anglers use to justify the taking of undersize fish,

    decent little pollock by the way

      pointless in my eyes, even havn a cat doesnt mean ya shud b able to keep undersize fish!! by where thnx for the report

            Cheers lads,have heard of people using small coalies for cats and fishcakes but these small codling and flatties must have been taken home to show theyd caught something then binned they were tiny,remember a fishcake isnt a pet and its not just for xmas either.

              Was there many small coalie or sandeel being taken? thinking of going down Thur but not sure if its worth it

                nice fish tommaz well done,your right waco alot of people are getting cats these days.pure shame no good talking to these guys about fish stocks and the future of fishing for our kids and there kids.

                  There was next to no eels/coalies or mackie taken on feathers a seen but its supposed to be best fishing very early doors-first lightish

                      it is fished well at first light but have to have the right conditions to follow eg tide nd weather, plus depends wot you go for m8
