I've heard of a few doggies from there, but never seen one myself - well done mate! Ain't been near the pier for a few weeks but will have to get down again soon.

      Cheers, Gary

Hi Mike, How you doing. Nowt wrong with a few Doggies, as long as you catch them over the other side of the country. Richie, i would hate to be overrun with them, because they feed in packs taking all the food , which affects the other species.just my opinion.

Well done Richie. What Jim means is you don't want them of being in plague proportions like over SW Scotland, where you can't to the decent fish for them.

They're a novelty (they were for me when I first started fishing for them), but believe me when you're after smoothies and Rays, they're a pain in the a**e.

I don't know if you or your mate drives, but get yourself over Kirkcudbright/Whithorn or the Mull, you'll get all the dogs you want.

I wouldn't bother Richie, unless you know what you're doing with them, they taste horrible.

I'll share a recipe one of the lads from SW Scotland gave me for them though.....

Boil a large pan of water, and place the doggie in with a house brick. Simmer for an hour with a lid on. After an hour, take the brick and doggie out, throw the doggie away and eat the brick.
