Well done on the fish mate, great fun catching them on a spinner. Wait till a biggun nearly takes the rod out of your hand I don't know if you have tried for the Pollack with a spinner or not but that can be just as good if not better, don't put your rod down to pour a drink though it might not be there when you turn back lol.

On the subject of the rubbish, it's not just fishermen that leave it Yvonne and I were walking through the shopping centre on Saturday and I comented on a load of rubbish left on the floor, not five yards from a litter bin. If there were bins strategically placed all along the coast there would still be dirty gits leaving there crap on the rocks and beach.

          Jim.
Remember, some people are alive simply because it is illegal to shoot them.

I was fishing south sheilds pier on monday and it was covered in day light lure packets and old line it was right back to the car park and one of the guys that clean the pier to me that they will ban fishing if it keeps going on like that he had a sweeper going along there on tuesday. its mad that mindless people always spoil it for others.

Well done mate and blyth pier is the same just crap dumped everywere but i have to admit there are no bins on the pier so that may have something to do with it but as you said jim the crap will not end up in them
keep kids off the streets, give them a rod.

we dont need bins just take a carrier bag along in ya tackle box and stick your rubbish in, oh and you could pick up bits of old line etc around you, yes we shouldnt have to pick up others rubbish but if it stops the powers to be closing off piers to anglers its got to be worth it.
caught crabs on a night down roker
