Not a snot. Saw the odd little flatty pulled in but no mackeral or sandeels. Worked from just past the bend, near the end, the end itself and then back in the shallows on the walk back. Nada.
Caught up with some NESA bod's, which is always a good thing, nice to get chatting and talk about how crap the fishing is!!!
Was nice to meet "andrew09" and "fishing_bairn", and also to meet again (I think, sorry if I've got the wrong user,) "coleg" on the walk off the pier. Must say I'm dead easy to recognise but my own memory is utter pants so don't take offense anyone that I've nattered with in the past but I don't recall the face - I'm stuck in a job where people come and go like mad so it's hard to keep track even with people I work with for years! Just kick me.
Speaking of old faces, where's "John" (Rose of Joyce out of Blyth)? Not seen him on here for a long time. My last ever boat trip was the NESA comp in something like 2004 or was it even 2003 when he kindly took me out with his mates to join the comp?? Just realising now how long it is since I've been out on a boat, it's usually a once a year treat for me but we've been too skint and too busy the last few years - eek!
