Just got back in(02:45) from cambois beach straight out from ramp, was a few lads already fishing there wen we first gt there(10:45ish) they left within an hour of us arriving we had nowt in that time and dont think they did either
but then bout 2 mins later felt a bite and then again and was into me first fish (we were hoping for bass) got it in and was a flatty decent size tho, so for the next few hrs me and greeny(captainbirdseye) were getting constant bites and pulled in a fair few dab and flounder, not wat we were hoping for but better than nowt by now rain was gettin heavier and tide was well up so decided to shift and headed back to blyth to try the pier, got there and decided not to bother so headed home
St marys
Earlier in the day me nd greeny set off fishing to st marys planning to catch at least 1 wrasse but after float fishing round some promising looking gullys and rocks decided to try some of the shallower areas, well no wrasse and we ended up catching stacks of blennys, granny fish and rockling and were using barbless hooks so were able to flick the granny fish of the hooks with ease avoiding any nasty stings also were kept company by 4 seals for most of the day and weather was decent so was an enjoyable day really. cheers
