dont thinks its up to much mate, tried harbour quite a few times recentley and had nowt apart from crabs eating bait

Pretty much how i have found it as a rule.
But for a easy couple of hours to use up the bait there is always the chance.
I did have a 2 pound cod out there one year

aye thats why a go mate its just easy just a pity not many fish caught in there, years ago a used to catch quite a few whiting just where the lifeboat area is

Blyth's been rubbish for a long time now, can remember some cracking days there in the 80's but rarely caught owt there since.

Wansbeck is one of my favourite spots, I usually fish on the little harbour wall just along to the left from your pics there, it's falling apart badly now mind. Seems to have been slow there this year so far, but I'm hoping it'll pick up, had some cracking flatty sessions there some years with just light gear.

Nice one mate - look forward to the report...I never got out in the end, Twenty20 Cricket and Live International Footy seemed more appealing than dodging rainclouds

We me and me mate were back down the wansbeck the day as the weather seemed decent.

Last fish of day taken by me.

Again we had to try and get by the crabs must of pulled in 10+ in about 2hrs. All fish returned to fight another day another enjoyable day relaxin on the wansbeck.

Fished the Black Middens last night about 6.45 - 10.30. Just had this baby red cod on rag. Couple of guys about 40m along from me had a codling about 1lb though, it made me stay another hour but no more.

I think so, cheers. Do bass still come into the Wansbeck? Looks like a really nice spot, been meaning to visit for ages.
