just got back from 2days fishing at loch etive catching some nice spurdogs. Me and a m8 decided to go up with the weather looking good and the tides being half decent. we had 17 spurdogs in total with the smallest being 7lb and the biggest 11lb 150z. we had another 3 doubles which 2 were pauls at 11lb 10oz and 10lb 2oz my two biggest were 11lb 15oz and 11lb 2oz. the rest were in from 7lb to 9lb. We should of had more but lost half a dozen on the way in.
we couldnt of asked for better weather or fishing, look forward to going back soon

Excellent - Well fed Dawgs as well by the look of them! Spurdogs are great fish to catch IMO and don't get the respect in the fish league they deserve. I remember catching loads from the boat as a kid, can't remember where though, it must have been off Arran or The Isle of Man? Did Mark not post a while back about loads of Spurdog being hoovered up by commercials? Might have even been Loch Etive?
