    fished Tynemouth last night nowt but weed got to about hour after slack and had me first take which resulted in codling just shy of 2lb threw another bait out and whack another fish though aye this is a better fish then nowt fish off next cast same again felt a good fish and that **** came off though aye here we gan its just gonna be one of those nights and that's how it went checked me hooks and there lay the problem old hooks which I should have replaced and didn't laziness cost me what felt a couple of decent fish lesson learnt

    its never worth using old hooks.

    £400 rod, £200 reel, the latest designer line and £20 on bait plus hours of effort?

    all risked on a 20p hook.

    new rigs on and get back out and get them next time.

        your spot on m8 just ordered 100 new hooks so got no excuses now lol

              I like the Sakumas 3-0. Tough as old boots hooks and strong as out.

                I just bin a hook once its been used... Cheap enough to replace with a brand new sharp one! Unlucky mate. At least you dug one out

                  have looked at the sakuma mantas and they look a canny hook like but my trouble is am a creature of habit and have always used mustad o'shaunessys nice sharp hook and if your snagged up they will bend will just have to get out of this lazy habit of not changing me hooks
