  • Marsden 1st bay

Me. Outcast Chris and happy days Taff fished the 1st bay for the shields open. Got there at 7ish making sure we got a spot. Them stairs next to the grotto are a killer
had a bit rummage round whilst waiting for comp to start
A nice pic from a cave at the base of marsden rock

Met a lad off the locker Sean nice fella
The water was lashing in had to keep moving back noticed a load of lads on cliff tops we eventually move to the beach where a few lads had caught some decent flounders
We tried all sorts of cocktails lug. Muscle. Blacks. Cart. Makki. Bluey. Sandeel and even giant dirty squids
Chris hoping for a monster pig lol

10 mins before end of comp and I pull in a 3inch coalie to save the blank lol. Strange as the sandeel bait was bigger than it haha
With everyone leaving we climed up the million stairs and heade to the cliffs behind Souter lighthouse for a couple of hours before the water disappeared
I got 2 decent sized rocklings then Chris gets a cracking bite resulting in a lovely 4lb codling which had to be hand balled up just a shame it was an hour after the comp

Lovely fish mate and a big welldone I deffo will be fishing more of this area boys

I had nothing sized in the comp either. As I said last night, unlucky getting the good fish after the comp finished Chris.
