  • Lynemouth 231114 - crap

Me and mick dunn fished lynemouth yesterday from about 2pm until 7pm. When we got down there the sea was flat so i didn't hold out much hope of big fish but thought we might be kept busy with smaller stuff.

Wrong- the fishing was awful, it seemed that the seabed was carpeted in crabs, every cast hooks cleaned off. Even when it got dark it didn't improve.

The blank was saved about 10 minutes before we packed up with a small flounder for me but that was it, I don't think we will be returning to Lynemouth in a hurry.

unlucky lads the place can frustrate you when its dead if am fishing lynemouth and it goes quite I just go on to fairy rocks or the north corner of the beacons into deeper water which gives you a better chance of some fish

Did,nt help when I practised some breastroke when a wave knocked me off my feet getting a piece of weed off Ians line. He said why did u bother and I said I was that bored. Waders worked ok but wet arms for a couple of hours in the cold was hard work.

            Lesson learned there Mick!
I don't wade very far out at Lynemouth and try not to wade at all in a big sea.
Boulders get chucked about and can do your ankles a bit of damage!

I watched with amazement wondering what Mick was doing when he had his wading moment of madness, nee way I would be wading on Lynemouth hence why i only wear wells when fishing there. The se was flat as a fart too.

If he had done the same on Chesil he would have been dead now.
