    me mate and i fished amble pier saturday night the end was quite busy with
    about 4 lads on as it isnt very big to hold many more


    so we opted for the second seat further in to the harbour as the lads further up seemed to be enjoying there tinnies


    few casts later bites started flounder then flounder best was 30cm,s then odd plaice only one size about 27cm the odd codling ,small dab just under 20,cm me mate managed about 7 fish total i think i had 3 but blank savers

        Good day out- seems to be the in thing these days taking 8 cans with you.
        I prefer my flask of tea.

            same as me mick a flask of scad those lads was already there when we arrived and sharp left when it got dark maybe went for another 8 tinnies on the way home

              I remember fishing the pier as a kid with my dad in the mid 70's when we had a caravan at Amble, used nowt but herring for bait and always had loads of nice flatties. Pier was in a state then though, can remember loads of the boards missing in parts, was death-trap!
