a mate and myself took a 1/2 day off work and headed up to dunstanburgh we got there about 2.30 and as there were 2 lads fishing from the rocks we opted for the cliff's following big sid's advice (cheer's sid) we had rag, muscle, squid, razor for bait and experimented with them all but had no luck untill is started to getting dark ,i had a little rattle that resulted in someone's lost line but no fish . my mate's rod started to rattle and this resulted in a coalfish then next cast another for him a bit bigger this time we thought this is it but it all went quiet so after loosing quite a lot of gear we gave up at 11.30 to head home , the lads that had been fishing the rocks came over for a bit crack and they had caught nothing between them but all credit to them they had carrier bags of other angler's rubbish they had collected and were taking away with them. (why do anglers litter such a amazing mark its right on the doorstep of national trust land and all they are doing is giving fishing a bad name ) a nice trip out in an amazing part of our coastline but yet again another blank ... 2 pics added

I'm pleased you and your mate still managed to enjoy the day and its nice to hear that some do appreciate the scenery and go out of their way to try and keep it as nature intended. To those who do a BIG thank you ,to those that don't stay at home and sh** in your own back garden. I will have to get my finger out and get up there, its been to long.
Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught
