  • Blyth Pier 22/02 & 23/02 - double blank

Had a couple of short sessions on the pier Sunday afternoon (high tide) and Monday morning (low tide), pier is continuing it's run of nada. Not a single bite Sunday, not even the crabs were bothering, was told there'd been 1 flatty caught all day from 7am. Monday morning there was one guy on the end, no idea if he'd caught owt but I didn't see him pull anything in, I gave it a little over an hour just past the bend and had a couple of barely noticable taps, probably a postage stamp flatty, opted not to waste the bait and gave up. Gonna take the bairn to the harbour tonite to finish the worms.

Took the bairn to Blyth harbour last night, nada. Moved to S/Sluice just before high tide, he fished in the harbour but nowt there either. I had a couple of chucks off the breakwater, few rattles but that was it. ho hum.
