  • Worst and best session EVER session

1st of all I hold my hands up to be the most stupid thick headed person on the planet tonight and whole heartily apologise to all fishermen in the world and my family
Me. Madrob and outcast Chris headed to the beach called noses point at Seaham at 5.30 had about 5 casts each snagged and lost gear so headed to hendon prom fished the 3rd bay next to Dave mills
Met the famous Luke pulley and his dad and I think his dad is a secret toon fan lol
A nice sea running within an hour got a canny bite and fish on reeled it in for it to get snagged on the large boulders infront of prom 10 mins later with no joy
Madness must of kicked in as I decided to watch waves and thought it would be ok to climb over and slide over the side walked across rocks waiting for a opportunity then I went for it only to miss judge a wave which covered me very very lucky looking back now climbed back up
Set my other rod up and made my mind up to wait for tide going out then go for it
Chris pulled in a lovely codling of 2lb 7ozs

Dave mills pulled 1 in seconds later 1lb 12ozs and 2 nice fish from bay 1
As the tide was going out me n rob climed back over the railings only for my waterproof bottoms to get snagged and my side pocket ripping open ....... My iPhone flew out and fell about 5ft down the side of the prom wall rob went to get the fish and it only come off
No way we could reach it it was stuck wedged against a pool ball we decided to smash chris's radio to get the magnet out of the speaker and tie it on some shock leader tried this for 1/2 hour no good so then rob gets the end of my rod trying to scoop it up the side still no good anyway I climbed back up and told rob to forget about it but he wasn't listening I passed the end of robs rod down to him before I walked along prom for any ideas off other anglers whilst coming back I was feeling physically sick thinking of how stupid I've been and all the lost memories on my phone when I got back rob was on the top now only for him to tell me that the phone fell threw a gap and so did the end of my rod .........he was joking and handed me my phone using both rods as giant chopsticks some lad
When he handed me the phone I only put it in the ripped pocket for it fall threw and hit the ground smashing the screen u couldn't make it up
Back to the fishing 1/2 from the end and I only smashed my headlight whilst the new king of hendon pulled in a cracking cod of 4lb 11ozs

He very kindly donated it to me I didn't no whether to laugh or cry mixed emotions now writing this and can once again apologise to my mates for not thinking I put them also in a dangerous position as they might of lost there life's for my moment of madness

Unlucky mate, we all have days like that from time to time, I had mine on Thursday and I broke the screen on my phone getting out of the van when I got home. I got mine repaired by an online shop, sent it away Thursday afternoon, got it back repaired yesterday. Some nice fish there lads well done.

Be calling you Mad Mick from now on. Nice fish Rob and Chris.

Once saw something similar on the end of shields pier. Nice sea on a lad got hung up on the ladders off then end, so his mate climbed down untangled it and got his backside wet in the process. Next cast his mate cracked off.... Was that the lead I've just went down the ladders for..... Yes.
