Ive been chompin at the bit all week to be out and finally got to go tonight but could only get small rag and razor the decided as the sea is flat as a fart not to go to blyth pier for another blank but to try mark X which isn't a million miles away from west pier as the crow flies lol. Anyway went on about 6.30 and by 7 had a 1lber and next chuck got a 3lber so was quite pleased stayed till 10 and missed a couple of bites including and I could kick myself for it I had a bite then a pull and nothing then when I wound in no hook trace I only forgot to close the bloody snap swivel school boy error LOL never mind had a good night and abit exercise!

I heard a shout of joy from you's about 9 was a fish brought in? did yi get owt?
There was one of ya head lights really powerful it was hittin the light house thought somebody was behind me wasn't frightened tho lol

Ive a cod on sounds about right mate, very well done! as i say lads mark x is hit n miss was on wed nite got nowt lol

was on blyth pier thursday night caught a star fish and me mate caught a little flattie lol.. just my luck

Pleased you recognised the mark anyways I'm sorry to here that blyth was sh@te I've spent too many times on there myself with a blank in fact I'm gonna stick my neck out and say I've had more fish from the pilot jetty!
Mark x is a bit of a battle to get on but I've always found that the productive nights far outway the blanks I wasn't sure if it would fish to be honest as the best time off the end personally speaking is two hours back on the ebb for about an hour thats when you get your finger out!
You'll recognise me on there I'm the one thats always takes the drop net as I once cryed myself to sleep after not havin a net so never go without theres too many big ones from that place. antway hope I see you on one night have abit crack!! Bait wise for me is peeler both frozen and fresh and fresh dug lug whats your thoughts?

Where bouts did u catch the cod from mark x? off the end? and about drop nets, i was on ages ago and this lad said the 1 he lost was big big big lol and bnow he brings a drop net lol maybe i was talkin to you i where glasses


and i think it fishes better when high tide comes then about 4hrs back, but i always do night time fishin so 10/12hrs cud be anything

i might go next thursday night all nighter but who knows... after all these blanks i might aswell head for the beaches!!

bait wise well.. im still new to it all but i like rag n lug & squid or mac for a tip off, caught on them baits so i guess im doin alreet wen the fish are in that is lol! but if ive got money money thn ill get everythingtreat myself...

Aye with ya on the all night seshs! My fish came off the end. There's two places I fish which is mainly the end and cast halfway between straight out to sea and st mary's bloody good chuck gets you past the snags and onto sand I find this hits fish 2 hours back from top water.
The other is the bend again on an out going tide if you look at low water there is a channel in the rocks that runs from left to right and out to sea and my theory is the fish follow the channel.
It could have been me that was talking to you as thats exactly what I say when I talk about it had too much agony after lossing a biggin.
Your talkin about goin thursday its a massive tide a 5.5m at 11.45pm so play goin on and off carefully m8 I might go on myself if I can wangle fri off work I'll give you a shout if I am it'll have to be a 3am one!!

I aint even checked the tides for thursday but sounds ok to me i would go on around 10ish if your goin ill meet ya at gates.. i aint fished the bend like.. just the end as im still new lol but you'll have to show me this other mark on mark x sounds interestin, might learn some stuff off ya tight lines till then mate.
