had a good night tonight at seaton sluice.

got a codling of 4lb3oz, lost one right in front of me about the same size and had a few good knocks. i thourght i was in for a bigger fish as she put up a canny fight and even started to pull line from my reel!
she was full of crabs when i cleaned her for tomorrows dinner.

had to leave due to the tide forcing me back.

won the south beach comp with the codling.
not a very productive night for the club, only other fish caurght was a codling of 2lb3oz.

on rocky island, go over the bridge then down behind the house. you need to be careful when walking down there as its a sheer drop at some points. then fish the flat rocks, you will see what looks like a pipe running across the rocks towards the lighthouse at blyth. if you get a decent enough cast you can get onto clean ground. there is a shelf just infront of you along along the flat rock, so when reeling in you need to be quick

its been a good 5yrs since i was in a club and fished in the sea. i left to do salmon fishing, but i have to admit im hooked again lol

          thankyou

its good to catch again, last week was my first time back for yonks and i blanked, well i got a flattie the size of a postage stamp! haha

im going to go and wet a line tomorrow as well.

thats one of my favourite marks, always seem to catch when i go there.

i dont mind telling people about it.
just make sure you stay well clear if there is a sea running, it can catch you off gaurd, with the rocks being so flat and the shelf infront you can get some deceiving waves.

Nice one mate, well done. Looked like a few people were on Rocky Island / Sumps tonight as well as the south beach. It's one of those marks where you'll often lose one or two unfortunately but still nice to win after all
