  • nice bag from a weedy beach

opted for a beach mark last night as one of my other marks I fish tends to be like blackpool illuminations these days.
soon as I chucked out was getting rod bangers but was actually weed on the line lol. although was sure there was fish nibbling at the bait too.
so plugged on and managed one smallish.

noticed the weed was settling no more than 30 yards out back end of the flood and after that was ok so kept at it.

got another two out and the better one had me up and down the beach and was sure I had a double on, felt a bit like a clown as the weed was playing tricks as well.
didn't risk giving any slack and got a better one with two stone of weed on its back. the last two hours it was lashing down. crackers session it was.

I cheers. am surprised at the amount of good stamp of fish up and down the coast so early in the season.

it really looks promising for November providing the conditions are good.

I seen a report on the locker of a lad with a brace of 4 and 5 pounders. could of been ryhope. was really outstanding. fished with him a couple of times, canny lad.

also tony off here done well in late summer, south of shields when the seas were crystal clear!

I was fishing whitburn the other week and managed one a bit smaller to the one I got last night, then the southy a one nearly 5 Wednesday night , and a 6 pound fish off beach down from mine last night.

that bag from keith up north cracking lad! looks like a beach mark!!!

odd gud ones beats bags of small codlings anydays.

just wish I had more time . job and kids , hard graft it is

We fished comp at Hendon last night. My mate Blackrat did well. Fresh Crab baits launched out and few Cod for his rewards. Rest of us struggled. Crab seemed to be bait of the day. I had one Coaly on bluey but big bluey/lug and rag baits launched were ignored.
