  • blackhall beach lastnight

Three of us fished as usual, mick jeff and myself karl ,we fished from 6.00pm to about 9.30pm,bait used ,rag ,squid, mackerel, its all we had ,fish caught ,2 whities and one rockling , we all got one apiece, so no one blanked ,small whitie went back as did the rockling, but i kept the whitie that was just under a 1lb , i noticed that the ledge where we fished was well undermined , so if you take your jeep down keep back from the edge a couple of metres , and also when you cast be careful of the edge as there is quite a long drop developing, water was running right to left , wind the same but was quite strong, but sea looked good anyhow, that is the end of this report from the last of the summer wine gang.

karl are you fishing blackhall or horden bud ?, im down there a far bit and not seeing much of a bank blackhall to blackhall rocks way, however the opposite way your right, theres some serious undercut on the back bank below horden, added to that theres some nasty drops off it for the unwary as well

i travel into blackhall and at the top of the bank [coming from Horden] take the turning left down tenth street follow that all the way down to the beach ,crossing over the little stream at the bottom of the very steep bank.follow the jeep tracks and when you are heading towards the sea turn left and travel about 3/4 of a mile along the beach, towards easington ,that is the area where we saw the undermining, hope this helps.
