Well done mate, a nice fish for the Sluice. I could see a light or two down that way from the pier, but it didn't look like there were many others along the beach last night.....fishin' accomplished......

Nice to read a report with fish caught. When we "winterised" our caravan in Drummore back in September brought my fishing gear back over with the intention of having a go over the winter. Can walk down to the Table Rocks,Whitley Bay from my house in minutes but have yet to be tempted out.The number of folk blanking just puts me off!!!
At my age not prepared to "tough it out" on Whitley Beach or wherever just scratching around.I honestly take my hat off to you guys who go out time and time again with little return.
Looks like I will be saving my fishing energies for the Mull of Galloway this summer.Like I say we plan to live in our caravan on the Clashwhannon site from April onwards.I will be out fishing virtually everyday. I target bass on poppers in the summer but intend to also target the mullet and will try for a tope from the shore.
Feel free to call in for advice if you are new to the area or just fancy a cuppa/bit blether.I will keeping a close eye on the local reports and if things improve I will be out with you.
