  • Blue fish on the Yuki rod.

In Caleta, Fuerteventura on holiday. Catching loads of small bream and palometa which fight like hell on light gear, anyway had 2 sessions decided to live bait and caught 2 blue fish with the Yuki rod. 1st one was 5 3/4lb, which I thought fought like hell until the next day when I caught another blue fish which was 13 1/4lb I'm still shaking. I thought it was going to empty the spool on my reel. A local Spanish guy gaffed it for me I can honestly say the Yuki rod is one of the best rods that I have ever owned. Anyhow back down the rocks tomorrow in shorts and teeshirts. Hope photo is attached.
    Cheers Brian

              Fuerteventura accomadation

If anyone is thinking of coming out here in Caleta have a look at a website called Billy beachcaster he is a Scottish guy from Edinburgh who has lived out here for quite a few years and very knowledgeable about fishing here he rents out an apartment here to anglers only a few hundred yards from rocks where you fish. Yes Andy I have had great sport on the Yuki love it And Stan saving them yellows blacks till I get home Cheers Brian

Cracking fish, I'd be scared of the poisonous fish/spines when abroad, especially not knowing what fish I was catching.
