  • Shooting Stars

Fished Blyth Beach tonight...sea was flat as a pancake so resorted to "scratching"...lovely clear night (bl**dy cold too )...saw umpteen really bright shooting stars so I made a wish...and guess what...

    ...my wish came true...

It wasn't a big fish but it was "size" at 29cms and weighed a mighty 9oz 6dr

At least I didn't blank and was able to weigh in for my first club match

...and the little fella was returned safely as well after weigh-in...albeit somewhat further up the coast
    Ooh a new vid!

Surrounded by the cloak of mystery and wonderment that is the universe - priveledged to witness at first hand the effects of near light speed, huge interplanetray objects skipping across the infinetly delicate, yet supreme balanced atmosphere that nourishes and supports everything we know as life and it's visible manifestation in what some believe to be the abode of the Gods - you rightly believe that the portents are there, history, culture, religion, folk law - sheer bloody minded survival instict suggests that now is the time to make a wish, a precious secret pact with Gaia.

    YOU WISHED FOR A FISH

    Second version reads

YOU WISHED FOR A WHITE PLASTIC TUB

Lmao @ Ian. As you say Tony, at least you didn't blank on your first club match mate

Flatties are very robust creatures - you could wear a couple as flip flops for a week and they'd still gan back maybe better as insoles (geddit) to keep the old plates fresh

Could also be the tip light moving after 6 hours on a freezing beach - I can make my eyes move so mine makes circles and squiggles in the air after listening to my mate Geordie gannin on, and on ............

Last time I was fishing at Blyth Beach I saw 5 shooting stars. Made the same wish as Wallsendo, didn't come true.

Didn't even get a white plastic container
