    well me carver and hairy headed down to the basin not expecting much (just to get us out the house really) first few chucks nothing then carver got a small whiting couple of chucks later BANG 1 big knock and then a slack liner reeled in thinking it was weed to find a nice codling 46cm long and canny fat i think about 2-2.5 lbs then next chuck another small codling about 8" long lol

    well done m8,was gonna fish the river tonight myself,but the gateshead side,will give it a go tomorrow.Might be a few more fish up by then lol.

      Well done on that fish mate, i decided to go for a night out tonight due to the weather but wish i'd gone fishing instead

                      i sure hope so mate ill be out at the weekend for deffo if the tides aint too big im gonna fish st peters again or if they are big seas on then the big beach or whitley bay (i want a decent cod)

                            Just make sure you have plenty of rag and lug for Whitley Scotty. It did the trick for Tony
