you get the choice of doing a speed awareness course or take the points. either way you still have to pay the 60 quid. i was doing 85 in a 70 once passed a camera and didnt get caught, when i checked me speed against me sat nav my speedo is right out :P

the cameras will not activate at 55 in a 50, acpo guidance says it should be 58 minimum

I've just had a ticket for "speeding" on Coast Road - 36 in 30 zone when the road works were there. I knew the vans where there so always made sure I was under, apparently not that time though

the 30 limit was there for a long time and 99% of people were flying through you can get lazers now the scramble there cameras and they have to reset them by that time you slow down about Ł300 the one I have got just warns you they are there thats when I remember to put it on just another gadget for some toerag to put the window out for

Those Truvelo cameras do flash, contrary to popular belief it's not an infra red flash in them, it's just a magenta filter over the flashgun to reduce the glare. I've seen the one by Crosslings flash a taxi.

Anyhow, they allow you 10% over the limit plus two or 3 MPH, to account for speedo discrepancies, so you'd be alright.
