fished tynemouth big jettie last night from 11pm till 6am only one other lad fishing the end the wind was a pain so moved to the lower level had a few bites but no fish about 2am moved to the 4 posts not a sniff till top water then it was more or less a fish a chuck till 6am all whiteling most were size and all but one returned used rag lug runny squid maccky mussel in loads of different cocktails but it was lug rag and squid they wanted wouldnt touch anything else . any one know if the speed cameras on the coast road flash you cos I think I went through one at 55 in the 50 zone but never seen a flash my speedo reads 55 but my camera detector says 50 so never know which one to believe

Cameras on the coast road are TRUVELO type m8 they dont flash, you just have to wait and keep fingers crossed

you get the choice of doing a speed awareness course or take the points. either way you still have to pay the 60 quid. i was doing 85 in a 70 once passed a camera and didnt get caught, when i checked me speed against me sat nav my speedo is right out :P

Those Truvelo cameras do flash, contrary to popular belief it's not an infra red flash in them, it's just a magenta filter over the flashgun to reduce the glare. I've seen the one by Crosslings flash a taxi.
Anyhow, they allow you 10% over the limit plus two or 3 MPH, to account for speedo discrepancies, so you'd be alright.
