Roker pier and rathouse 7/11/08

Fished roker pier from 0630 this morning, quite a big sea running - looked perfect. Had two codling about 2 lb and a big flattie. Then at 0930 Mr. council man turns up and closes the pier - said the wind had to turn north easterly - dont know what forecast he had been looking at. Another bloke had a canny coalie. The two cod were in perfect condition. All fish taken on rag.
Went to rathouse until 1430 everyone and his dog were fishing. Only saw three decent whities and loads of undersize ones.
Think I would have had a canny bag of fish if the pier hadnt closed.

I was on the pier last night few of us on the end, sea started getting a bit shirky later on, seen a couple of codling and a propa big flatty caught funnily enough as well as a few ting.

Wasn't fishing that well overall though, hit and miss., more miss for me
