Hi lads bit of a late report.I fished the pier in the tynemouth area "wink wink" on sunday night i managed to get my self 6 fish which were 5 codling and 1 colie.The bigest cod was 3 to 3 and a half pound then 3 around the 2 to 2 and a half pound mark. The colie was under size and so was the last codling.I caught all my fish on crab using a size five o pennel rig of the back wall.the other 2 lads a fished with got 2 under size colies all in all i had a canny night

Do you loss much gear fishing at that spot?
i usually fish off the end into the sea or near the end into the river mouth and it's not that snaggy.

as long as you've got a ok cast you'll be fishing onto clean sand with rocks either side but you have to reel in fast as there's some huge rocks over the side (pier foundations)Originally posted by Rod_bender View PostComment
