nice surprise

had an afternoon session today ,used lug tipped with squid trying for some codling but on my second cast i had a very nice surprise my 1st ever bass see pic attached .it was perfectly hooked through the top lip so went straight back when the bait started running out i changed to rag / macky and had 4 flatty's ,also hooked in the lip & went back .a nice afternoon even though no cod . ( i haven't named the beach because someone told me people like to keep were bass are being caught quite but im sure the lads will know it from the pic)

I think the main reason people don't post openly here kela is in case commercial lads get whiff of it and target that area - they make a good price I believe.

Bass are an amazing fish to catch mate, nothing else on the end of a line is quite the same. Nothing else on the end of a fork is as nice either
