  • Blyth Beach 05/10

Me and a couple of lads fished blyth beach last night, We fished the tide up and caught 8 fish between us, 4 whiting, 2 coalies ( 1 which was the biggest ive ever caught or seen!). And 2 small flatties.

Was a canny night and the fish were a bonus, packed up about an hour after the tide turned as there wasnt much doing, best baits were defo the good old rang and lug combo!.

    Bang the pics up soon,

    Heres a pic,

And a couple of last year that i fogot were on photobucket!!!

Nice one lads, I had a few whitings myself in the daytime fishing the pier & a couple of small coalies - they seemed particular to the lug/rag cocktail but also had a few on crab/mussel. Got the feeling I'd have had more if I'd taken some mackerel fillets! I guess the beach will probably fish well for them at the moment - I'm also really hoping for a bit more surf to try and target a few bass before it gets too cold.

            cheers lads,

It was a canny night, spoke to a few lads coming off the pier and they said that only a few tiddlers were caught between around 14 lads, that pier baffles me sometimes! It should be great yet flatters to decieve! And ive fished it many many many times, ohh and glad the charva monkeys are now in hibernation!
