theres plenty fish mate iv had 2 trips this winter and had 10 cod most of them around the 3 to 5lb mark just keep going mate you will get there in the end

Steven do you mind if i ask what you mean by lures.
If you fish from a beach or pier you need bait such as ragworm or mackeral on hooks and rigs.
If you fish from the pier you cast it into the water and wait. The thing about the pier is its deep water.
Sorry to sound like a know all but it sounds like you remind me of the lad me and insano were watching the other week off Steetly who was still using feathers.

I havn't had that many cod in yearsIt's a thin line that seperates an Angler from a madman standing on the beach in january at midnight in -5 degrees with a northerly wind blowing in your face
