    I don't believe that there are any fish in the North Sea. I have spent hours today stood on the beach with my rod in my hand and not even a nibble. I lost 3 lures and snapped the 2nd from the end section of my telescopic rod. Had frozen battered haddock for tea with thick chips.

    It's been the same in many places, i am going to wait till later on through the winter before i start
    good luck
    keep kids off the streets, give them a rod.

      Hard luck mate. Try the rivers mate thats where all the fish are. Big seas forecast this week so bit of luck it will bring in some fishes Welcome to NESA.
      Best shore caught fish:- Pollock 6lb+ Beadnell, 9lb 8oz Cod Blyth Beach

        welcum m8 thys plenty of codlings and fish in river but them northernlys r coming rrr yessss lol still a bit early yet tho

          Thanks for the support. I will try again later in the year when the seas are a but rougher.
          I have only ever cought 2 mackerel when I was 14ish off a boat in Poole harbour.
          I don't believe that there are any fish in the North Sea.

                    you are not alone bruv, that makes two of us am still in the infancy of me salt water fishing career as well mate, so if ya fancy wetting a line some time in the vain hope of catching summit you can actually take home and eat( my time will come.........its bloody got to) drop me a pm an we can bounce off each other, blank together, chuck wa gear in the murky depths etc etc

                              At last a fish. Well when I say fish I mean a 7" rockling near St Marys light house
