  • Weekend away on a Anglesey Species Hunt

Just back from Anglesey after 3 days, during our visit we manage to catch a lot of the smaller species including Wrasse (ballan, cuckoo, rockcook, goldsinny and corkwing), Gurnard (red and grey),Rockling (shore and 3 bearded) Dogfish, Pollock, Whiting, Poor Cod, Dab, Mackerel as well as Octopus,Lobsters and the inevitable Spider Crab, once again the Huss and Conger eluded us and fishing in the dark was a waste of time which is a first for me as its usually a dog a cast ,but overall still had a great time in a wonderful part of the World.

probably give it one more go this year before winter sets in.

Great stuff lads, plenty new species to add to the list. I'll have to get myself down that way next year.

theres no shortage of different places down there mike - and the variety of fishing is unbelievable, from LRF to Specimen hunting. Unfortunately the bigger fish didnt play ball this time round but nevertheless still a good weekend.

Hopefully we'll get back again sooner rather than later.

you need to give the place a go Mike ,Anglesey's potential has to be the best in the UK ,if it swims in British waters you can get it down there.
