    We had a little chuck off the old breakers yard on Sunday, mackeral were a bit shy, but the snakes were on the feed.

      Canny fish mate. Looks a great place to fish.
      Best shore caught fish:- Pollock 6lb+ Beadnell, 9lb 8oz Cod Blyth Beach

        It is , but its out of bounds to the public, we landed six like that, all returned, lost more due to the metalwork on the bottom

              I've always said I'm going to get one when I go up there but nothing so far. What kind of rod were you using, I usually see them with short stiff boat rods.

                    yes a boat rod just down the side of the pier, you would struggle with a beach caster getting the conger off the bottom

                      cracking report mate and pics when we where at whitehaven in the lakes they were catching congor down the side of the peir great sport

                          i was there just last week didnt think to try down the side i was wacking it out hoping to pick up a tope
