    My dad has just been on the phone to me and told
    me that someone named tony from the toon has
    just pulled in a 6lb cod about 10 yds up from the
    bend on rag and runny.

    Oh my dad has got nowt.

      fished the pier me self tonite from low water till bout 10 30. was 10 yards down from the bend (beach side) and didn't notice that one you would of heard me on the beach had i landed it! the lad can obviously keep his emotions under control. (someone could also be pullin ya leg mind)oh, nowt till propa dark then whiteys every cast, lug tipped with macky, they wouldn't touch rag. only left as i ran out of bait till next time...........

          mainly bairns! one or two slightly bigga and one around the pound mark all returned as you see so many reports on here that they're
          riddled with gut worms, i would hate to take a 'keepy' then sling it in the bin cos it was chocka with worms
          stop what ya deein and.........

            They're tasty as owt...but every single one I've caught was riddled...best advice is to gut and clean ASAP...on the beach if possible, even then it's not guaranteed
