After two unsuccessful weeks trying to catch a gurnard, two came along at once today, double shot of them first chuck.

That set me up well for the day but it was quiet with the bait rod with only a couple of undersize codling coming my way. Different story with the light float rod, coalies, pollock, wrasse, bullheads and about ten common blennies, never seen as many of them. Another good day out in the sun, might do the same again tomorrow.

Well done Mark, nice pair of Greys there.

Might have to have a dodge down there one evening after work this week, a couple of hours float fishing should be just the thing after a day stuck at my desk

It was great with the float today mate, the water was gin clear and I was able to drop the bait in the gaps between the blocks, amazing fishing, non stop action.

Well done on the gurnards mark. I noticed this morning, when I was walking off, how clear the water was, I thought it would be a good day with the float.

Mark your face was a picture when you pulled those two fish in your smile as nearly as big as when you caught the bass when we were down in Humberside!!!!
