I'm getting a bit old for this rock hopping!! Trying to keep up with David is a nightmare. The week is very intense at times, need my sleep in the afternoon, but I'll go on as long as my little legs will carry me. Fishing with a drain pipe & a dust bin lid as a reel is a massive advantage over a multiplier, but what the hell the week was fantastic, looking forward to next year :-)

Toppa report and some lovely fish mate. What id do for some fishing like that. Great to see the pics of the old school gear. Reminded me of fishing with my grandad when I was youngun.

To put the fishing into context for you, we fished with the same set ups we would use on, say, the Wherry, the furthest out we caught a fish was perhaps 50 yards and if you can get them in at home you can get them in in Scotland (sometimes it's easier as you're higher up). The only drawback I can see is the cost of getting there and back, which I wouldn't like to do every month, never mind weekend.

Well done to u and rod david. Great to see you's still making the yearly trip. Some nice fish and great pics. Good to see rod still doing the rock marks. If its any consolation rod I struggled to keep up with him and im only mid forties. Glad u are both well.
