  • SSP tonight, 45 mark.

Headed down the pier to meet up with Fishingmark and Andyco who were already battering the fish lrf style! Both had a big rod out and had a few fish between them. Pier was busy so plonked myself in next to them. Fished two rods, one bigger bait and a two hook flapper. Plenty action mainly on the flapper rod, tommies, coalies and a new species for me.... Grey gurnard!! Was well chuffed with it, mark less so as he had hoped to bag one himself. All fish taking either crab or rag with crab legs tipped. Was about to call it a night when got a nice drop back bite. Wound in and te leader knot got stuck in my tip ring so mark hand balled the fish up the wall for me.. Cheers mate!... Nice codling to end the night with... After it stopped flapping about it weighed in over 3lb. Packed up and heads for home leaving Andy and mark still fishing. Tally for the evening, 9 codling, 2 coalies, 2 dab and a grey gurnard! Best session out in a while. Good weather and canny craic. Mark nabbed a pic of the codling but forgot all about the gurnard in the excitement!

Not much more after you left. Well done on an excellent session, couldn't have gone much better for you. I think that is the most fish I have ever caught in a session, shame about the size of most of them. Wish I had landed that pollock I lost at the wall with the light gear, would have made the night better for me.

You can't see my grey hair in the pic mate so I should thank you! Haha. Yeah a massive number of fish for a session, pity that pollock got away too. I'm sure you'll get it next time mate. Just chilling with a beer now.... Cheers for the help earlier
