Royal Quays & Wansbeck last week (double blank lol)

Had a couple of short sessions with the kids last Thursday and Friday.

RQ on the Thursday, was a few other people fishing but no signs of anything at all being caught in the time we were there. With not a single bite, or even a crab, in a bit over an hour with 4 rods out at various distances and the kids getting bored we decided to give it up.

Headed to the Wansbeck Friday morning thinking it would surely be loaded with flatties, nada again. Lot of weed and again other people fishing various baits and techniques but nothing coming back despite the efforts.

Was all a bit poo really. Wansbeck at least has usually thrown me plenty of fish at this time of year

its sad to here the catch reports from the north east. i cant believe things are that bad, i hope things get better for you all.

Yeah, I'll be 38 later this year, can remember back to childhood fishing with my dad in the early 70's, don't think I saw a single blank session ever until about the mid 1980's, now I struggle to remember the last time I caught owt!

same here mate i had a pritty bad winter did'nt get nowt big it was all small stuff things are pritty bad.
